From the recording Klezmer on the Dobro
A “chosid” literally means “righteous
person”, but for the past 250 years it has come to specifically refer to followers of the customs and religious practices of the Ba’al Shem Tov, founder of Chassidic thought and practice. This melody was recorded by the Abe Schwartz Orchestra in the 1920’s. (“Skyliner” is pronounced “skilliner”).
