"Klezmer on the Dobro” is the first album of Klezmer music ever recorded featuring the Dobro (aka resonator guitar) as the lead instrument.  The album is a fusion of long-ago Eastern European Jewish melodies  and modalities with popular 20th century American bluegrass instruments (dobro, guitar, mandolin and banjo). About 10 years ago, I got the notion to try to play Klezmer music on the dobro. For me, the sound was so exciting and so pleasing that I ultimately decided to record it and get it out there and heard. I hope that this recording will evoke excitement, melancholy, beauty, contemplation, and just plain fun.  —Dov
